05/27/2012. Huge congrats to Heidi Mobley/Pam Smith and Ch. Western Hills Sure Thing aka Rocker (Zoom x Mattie) for going High In Trial Novice agility. Pam writes: Baby dog, Rocker, was High in Trial Novice dog in Kiowa. Good girlie, No No Bad Dog! In reality, I was so happy with Rocker this weekend, ribbon or no.

Nicole writes:Jinn(ATCH CH Windmill's DJinn Fizz)and Dervish (Windmill's Heaven Help Us) went to Holland this weekend to play agility at an ASCA trial, and swim and hike and generally rejoice in life. Tons of fun was had by all. Dervish was entered in Novice Gamblers for the first time ever, and Elite Jumpers (not entered in regular). She was a really good girl; she did all her contacts and worked super hard. She finished her Novice Gamblers title, and her Novice and Open Jumpers titles (competing in elite). Jinn did wonderful work and got lots of Qs and 1st places; on Saturday he was the judge's "pick of the day" and won two big bags of dog food! On Saturday elite jumpers round 2 Jinn got Q1st and Dervish took Q2nd (they merged the placements for the 20 and 20 plus dogs), separated by just half a second. And... on Sunday in the first round of elite jumpers Dervish took Q1st and Jinn took Q2nd... Bested by his niece who squeaked by him a third of a second or so faster than him. Go girl go!

05/26/2012 Lorena Proia and Western Hill's Tempest aka Juno(Zoom x Mattie), Lorena writes: I was so proud of Juno today! She had 4 beautiful runs in AKC Novice with 2 Qs & 2 NQs. She got a first in "Fast" & a second in JWW. We knocked a bar in standard but otherwise it was a very nice run. We had an off course in the new T2B class but again, it was very pretty.

05/21/2012 Nancy Davidson writes:Trace ( Vivi x Zoom) competed in her first ASCA trial in Fla just shy of 23 months. Trace earned a High In Trial Open Aussie on Saturday, and 3 Q's, one each for Jumpers, Standard and Gamblers this weekend. She placed with 10 firsts, 1 second! (and 2 E's for some contact training - oops Baby dog ! She competed in the **Open** instead of Novice.
Best of all, we had some great 'team' moments, plus some first trial baby-dog fun!
She nailed all weave entries and zoomed through all 12 effortlessly! even the really tough ones for Open level on Sunday! (sharp 90 degree left turn to offside weaves) We have things to work on but it is all good! I look forward to our future runs.

05/20/2012 Marci Thomas and Lein's Dancin to XS in Dixieland aka Dixie (Zoom x Cricket).Marci writes: Dixie ran another agility trial today and along with her Q's she earned placements and moved up to Level 5 in one of her classes. I started her in Level 1 and with not trialing both days of the weekends...she has made me proud of her progress!

04/30/2012 Bev Hurst - Canada writes: Raven (Cricket-Zoom) got "rave" reviews this weekend from judges and spectators. She aced the seminar demoing the different exercises with enthusiasm and they were surprised she was only 28 months of age. She then went on to finish her Advanced MCL and her Advanced Team title (first place) and a first place in Excellent. (darn spread jump)
.Smudge at nine months of age earned two 2 q's i Novice and one In team (two NQ's were her partners fault.) (Vegas-Zoom) Pretty good weekend was very proud of their performance throughout the weekend, their first time away from home

04/16/2012 Bev Hurst - Canada (Zoom x Cricket) Vegas earned a Q in Masters Gamblers, first place, best Run. Arrow earned a q in Master Steeplechase and then a Q and 2nd place in Masters Standard for her Expert Bronze Standard title. Both dogs ran really well, challenging courses.

04/15/2012 Marci Thomas and Lein's Dancin to XS in Dixieland aka Dixie (Zoom x Cricket).Marci writes: Dixie got a q in level 3 jackpot and now gets to run level 45C jackpot with the Advanced dogs.She killed jumpers with a 1st and at over 6 yps. This was her last run after a two day trial weekend.

Loved running Challenge Standard even though we had two off-courses (handler error) - was very happy with how Pai handled a couple of the sequences where I was trying new things.

3/17/2012 Bev Hurst/Lein-Canada writes: OMG Zoom x Cricket babies ran well at Dreamfields yesterday. Crump got a Q in advanced snookers and 1st Place. Raven got a Q in starters jumpers with a first place. She ran it in 20.97 a whopping 5.69 yps. Yes I ran fast too.

He got two Std. Q's with a 1st and 6th place, one Jumpers Q (3rd place)and a difficult Gamble Q (3rd place). Good boy

 

Deb Langly & Windmill's Dare to Dream(Kacie)2/26-27/2012 PASA/ASCA agility-Deb writes: Kacie received two Std. Open Q's (1st and 2nd places). She only needs one more Open Q to give Dare her point. She also would've Q'd in a Jumpers run, but got eliminated for running off a bit when she was done looking for her tug toy. Oops! This trial I entered her in her first Gamblers and she did well. Way better than I thought since we've never practiced it.
